Who we are

A small company that builds the whole thing

We are a software company based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. We make consumer apps for iOS, Android and the web: the product thinking, the design, the mobile apps, the servers behind them and the support once they ship all come from the same small team.

Being small is the point. There is no agency layer and nothing is outsourced, so the people who answer your email are the people who wrote the code. We would rather make a few things carefully and stand behind them than make many things at arm's length.

Get Piste is the first of them: an app we wanted for our own trips, built properly.

Coming to the App Store and Google Play

Get Piste

A companion for ski and snowboard trips. It is the app you open on the chairlift and the one you open at the kitchen table months earlier when the flights get booked.

The piste map, with the runs and lifts of the resort you are actually in.
Run tracking that records your day on the mountain run by run, so you can see where you went and how far you got.
Tripmates on the mountain: see where the rest of the group is, and find them again after a wrong turn.
One timeline for every booking on the trip, and every split, so the money is settled before anyone flies home.

Three things we hold to

Built end to end

Design, mobile apps, back end, deployment and support are done in-house. When something goes wrong at two in the morning, the person fixing it is the person who built it.
Run, not just shipped

An app is not finished when it reaches the store. We run the servers, read the support mail and keep the things we make working for as long as people use them.
Private by default

No advertising, no selling of data, and no tracking that a product does not need to do its job. This website has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and we like it that way.
